Happy 4th!

Kay, happy 4th of July everyone. I'm going all the way to Brentwood to celebrate. Whoopee. Just out of curiosity, what percentage of Americans actually know what happened on July 4th, 1776? I wonder.

My dad just shaved off his moustache. He thinks it's funny, but I have to wonder if he's feeling... okay. He's had it since... like highschool. Wow. He looks more like his dad now.

Can't wait for the fireworks. I loooove fireworks. I mean, you see nice big bright colors and you're like "wow, that's like pretty..." then it's like BOOOOM or just a little boom and you're like "whoa. That's amazing!" Yeah. Fireworks are basically amazing.

I'm Back!

Kay so I'm back from the YC and I had a good ole time. I was on Royal Blue team again. It brought my eyes out, what can I say? My team was really laid back. We all got along really well, had a good time, did a pretty good job I thought... We tied for third to last place... Oh... well.

The preaching was off the wall, the weather was super hot, I met some new people... yeah. The driving was... crazy. We were... crazy.

So, like this post goes out to my beloved uncle Russ because he asked me to update more often. Here's to you, uncle Russ! U da man!... kay.

After church this evening, Kirsten, Shelby and I were sitting in Kirsten's car listening to music and talking. A few people worried about Kirsten killing the car's batteries. She said it was fine. I don't know why I didn't see it coming, BUUUUT... The battery... died. The Clappins had to jump start their car, lol.

Watercolors

Kay so, today I had my first watercolor class*. Fun. We just played around with the paint today.

Also, I need to say that my Grandpa did NOT work on the Teacups. He worked at the Carnation Company... OKAY, I DIDN'T REMEMBER, SORRY!! Okay then.

The Lakers are engaged in epic battle as I now bloggeth. They were... down six last time I checked. Basically, if I were an avid fingernail-biter, my fingers... would be gone. I'm not watching the game for two reasons. 1. the fam is getting sick of basketball (booo!) and 2. I feel like every time I start to watch they start losing. So, being the loyal fan that I am, I don't watch. Sigh...

Wow. Last night, the Lakers (I thought they were doomed) beat Boston, bringing the conference to 3-2. They play in Boston, then LA again, I think... Go Lakers!...

I'm burning music onto discs right now. Big fun. A second ago, I thought I lost all of my sharpies! AAAAH!!! But... I found them. Phew.

Later, I'm like going shopping w/ Kirsten to buy clothes for the Youth Conference. Yay!

On Friday, we have to be ready to go at the church at like 7:15 AM. Bryan... will be late. We all know it. He knows it.
I hope I don't get put on a team with an ugly team color... Last year I was on Royal Blue team. We didn't do very well, but the team shirt really brought out my eyes :) !

Kay. Like, yesterday (Friday the 13th) was my Grandpa's b-day. On my mom's side. He's.... 85 years old. Wow. Well, it's time now for Grandpa Trivia!

-Worked at Disneyland as like an engineer on the Teacup ride (or something like that). Met Walt Disney. Didn't know it was him at the time, though.

-Was THE FIRST employee of In-n-out Burger. THE FIRST.

-Fought in WWII.

I just went shopping for water color supplies. Yay! Fun times. I was at Richards art supplies, and I SAW THIS BIG AMAZING inflatable Sharpie pen. Like, big. And amazing. I (really) want one!

I'm SO angry. The Lakers are down 3-1 in THE FINALS. The only game I actually got to watch, they won. BUT, they are LOSING. They need to win EVERY LAST GAME in the series to be the champions. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh boy...

The Youth Conference is rapidly approaching, and I AM going! Tada!

I'm also watching Cody, the Trummel's dog. Cutie... He makes me get up early in the morning, though. Whatevs. Also, I need to study to take the test for my driving permit thingie.

Wow...

Okay, like I haven't been posting on here like at all. Big sorry. Anyhoo. The Lakers ended up playing the Spurs. The Spurs are now French Toast Ala Butt Kicked by LA. Tada! The Lakers play their first game against the Celtics on Thursday night. Yay. I'm going to Disneyland sometime this summer.... Wait for it.... Wait... For... It...... *inhale*....

I'm taking a watercolor painting class at LPC for two weeks this month also. I also need to take the test to get my driving permit, but I AM A PROCRASTINATOR. I admit it. I am. I know. ALSO... I'm watching the Trummel's dog Cody for a week or two while they are in Europe.

Also, I WAS going to the West Coast Reformed Baptist Youth Conference, buuuut... My mom accidentally mailed it in wrong... We called the church in Riverside... It doesn't look good... Okay... Yeah...

West coast finals!

The Lakers beat the Jazz twice more, a 4 game to two game victory. Yay! That means they'll go on to play either the San Antonio Spurs or the New Orleans Hornets. If (when) they win there, they advance to the FINAL finals. They' play either the Detroit Pistons, The Boston Celtics, or the Cleveland Cavaliers. They're gonna win it all. Wait and see.

And now... BIG NEWS! This news is gonna blow you away. I'm not even joking! Seriously, this is the biggest news to hit my blog yet. Probably the biggest news you'll ever read on my blog, or any blog for that manner. Are you ready to receive the biggest news of the century? Stupid Jazz

Kay so like the Utah Jazz just like won the last two games they had against the Lakers and I'm mad >:( ! Now the series is tied 2-2. Grrrr........ No. It's okay. The Lakers will win! I just know it.........

On Friday, I saw Iron Man. It was basically amazing. Yep.

I got my blue belt on Saturday. Tada! It really brings out my eyes... lol.

On Sunday, Pastor T. was like "I...D...K..." during the sermon. I was laughing.

Today is Monday. People hate Mondays, but it's the most relaxed weekday of my week. Huh........ Whatevs.

Oh!!! I almost forgot to mention! This year we were sorta planning on going to Mexico because my grandparents had like a timeshare that they didn't want. BUT... Since we can hardly afford to fly down there, and since we would need passports which are exspensive, we aren't going. Sorry everyone!

Kay so, sorry I haven't posted in an eternity and stuff. The Lakers are two games for two in the second round against the Utah Jazz. Go Lakers. Chyea. Also... uhhhh... I walked for MS last weekend. Big fun-ish. I scarfed down my breakfast then I felt bad for the first half of the walk. Whatevs...

American Idol is boring, but at least the dude w/ dreads is gone. Whew.

I got new Vans today, tada!

I think I passed my test for blue belt, but I haven't gotten it yet. Probably will on Saturday. SPEAKING of Saturday, Mothers' day is like THIS SUNDAY and I need to go shopping on Sat. Yeeeeah.

Lakers!!!!!!!!

Kay so last night the Lakers beat the Denver Nuggets... AGAIN! Yay. What's so special about it is that they beat them FOUR TIMES IN A ROW. And it was the first round of the playoffs, which is best four games out of seven. Basically, LA swept them off their feet. Yeah...


Last Saturday I took the written test for my blue belt, and I think I did well. Like, it was open book and stuff, so yeah. We're walking for MS (Multiple Sclerosis) with Mom on Saturday so we won't know how we did on our test. Grrrr... lol

Also, I just watched American Idol. It was Neil Diamond night. Blegh. Archuleta was amazing as usual, and the dude w/ the dreds needs to GO HOME. That's all. Nightie night.

Blue belt test

Kay so like yea, today I tested for my blue belt.

1: Kata. I didn't make any mistakes. Woopie! I think I was good and intense because my instructor said he wouldn't want to be on the recieving end of my techniques lol.

2: Controlled sparring. Did well, no mistakes. Remembered my defenses well, didn't kick or punch with the wrong hand, or so I remember.

3: Board breaking. I was covered in sawdust, lol. Broke em all first try. Tada!

4: Stamina. Three rounds of three minutes of non-stop attacking a punching bag. I survived. Yeah. Ummm I was pretty tired, out of breath but I did well. Whew.

So like I did well, but I still have to take a written test next week >.< arrrg. No, okay. S'all good.

Mkay so like the Lakers are hosting the Denver Nuggets on Sunday, first game of the playoffs. Pretty much, I know they can beat them, but I've seen the Lakers lose to teams that are much worse than they are because they had a bad night. I hope they're on the top of their game, because this is where it counts. Go Lakers. Yeah.

OOOOooooookay, that's enough of the Lakers..... No it's not!! Derek Fisher is... A-mazing. Tada!

Anyway... Kyle bought a new game for his wii. WWII game. He's yelling at it. He says... "Oh please don't tell me there's another tank... DIEEEE you stupid tank... hehe that was fun... I know... I'm running from one side of the building to the other, just shut up... I'm a sergeant now!"

Plus... Shelby and my Mom are watching You've Got Mail (Meg Ryan, Tom Hanks) and I don't like it. So here I am blogging away...

New post, finally...

Okay so SORRY I didn't post on here for like a week or something. Pastors' conference is over. We had Pastor LaFramboise who we've had before. He's nice and we found out he requested to stay with us... yeah. Yep. A good time.
We recorded American Idol because, basically, we can't go one week without it. Plus, it was the week of Idol Gives Back so yeah. We watched it and it was pretty boring. Last year was better.

Anyways, next week is Earth Day. Do you know what I'm going to do in honor of Earth Day next week? I'm going to mow the lawn at church..... Mwahahahahahahaha haaaahahahahaha ha ha ha!!!!!!!! Ha... Yeah....

Hola. So like I filmed Shelby dancing with a game on the Wii. It was funny. If I figure out how to put it on here... I'll put it on here... yeah.
This week is the Pastors' Conference and all. Lots o' cleaning, which isn't my favorite. We got a new shower curtain for the bathroom, b cuz the old one was like rotting away...... EEEEEEEEEEWWWW......
Yeah. Anyways... I like the Pastors' Conference. Having a guest is fun, and I like to hear what's going on at all the other churches from the other pastors instead of just hearing news from letters. The only bad thing is that we're going to miss most of our martial arts classes this week, and we're supposed to be training to prepare for our test for blue belt on the 19th. Oh well. We'll have one more week after this one.

Also, we'll have to record American Idol Gives Back... Yeah.

Lovin the new camera smell...

Ahhhhh... well, not really. Doesn't smell like much. But, it's beautiful!!!!!!!!! A lovely new camera! SOOOOOO much better than the old one. Seriously, it's a really good camera. I love it. Plus, Padre also got me a memory card that can hold two gigs (which is alot for a chip thing, I guess) on sale for a measly $15 or something (a good deal, so I'm told). Also, the camera itself came with a 128 mb card so I have three now. Whatevs.

My b-day

So, yeah. Today's my 16th birthday. This morning on the Today show, Matt Lauer, Al Roker, Meredith Viera and Ann Curry went on the Cash Cab. It was pretty funny.

Did you know that today isn't only my birthday? Of course you did, but do you know who else was born on this day? Three important people (besides myself)

Starting with the one who has been dead the longest we have: Charlemagne! Yes, Charles the Great. Some may call him the first real Holy Roman Emperor, but I know that was Otto the Great.

Number two is Sir Alec Guinness. Looking on Wikipedia, we can see he was the old dude on Star Wars that played Ben Kenobi. Woopdiedoo.

And, third and final is a dude who is NOT dead. Andris Biedriņš! He turns 22 today. He's Latvian. Number 15 on the Golden State Warriors! My personal favorite player on the Warriors. He's cool.

Sushi!

Okay, so today Padre took me out to lunch for my b-day ( which is tomorrow, but he has a meeting then) and we got sushi. It was really tasty. I luvd it. There was one that was more sushi-like because it had raw fish on it, and another more California roll-like thing that had cooked salmon on it. Basically, it was amazing. Tomorrow, I get a new camera (I think) otherwise I would have taken pictures for you. Soooooooooooorrrrrrrry! lol.

Boardwalk

Alrighty. So. Yesterday (Saturday) the fam and I headed down to Santa Cruz to have a wonderful time on the Boardwalk. Kinda like a birthday thing for me. Tilt-o-whirls, bumper cars, ghost blasters bla bla bla. Also, The Giant Dipper, of course, and Rock-o-plane. Rock-o-plane is like a little ferris wheel but the car things you sit in are cages and you can do flips or just lock the car and go around upside-down... yeah. It's fun.
After the rides (it wasn't really warm enough to enjoy the beach) we ate pizza and went home. I would have pictures, but my camera is DEAD and my b-day isn't till Wednesday and I'm getting a new one then (I just know it!). So....... no pics. Sooooooorry :P
Other than that, next Tuesday or Thursday, Padre is taking me out to a sushi place to try... You guessed it! Sauerkraut! No, j/k. Sushi! Also, in like two or three weeks, Kyle Shelby and I are testing for our Blue belt. Yup. That's pretty much all.

Allergies

Okay, so like my allergies are not very fun. Yesterday I was mowing the lawn at church (killing the unfortunate ladybugs, so mean) and spraying weeds (killing the sourweed the kids like to eat, aren't I just terrible?) and my allergies were FINE. But today is just not good. *Sniffle*
Anyway, tomorrow, we're going to put some boards around the floor in the highschool classroom, to complete the room's amazingness. And I'll try to take some pictures to share, because I know you want to see how it turns out. Or, maybe you don't. But you'll get to see anyway! Tada!

Anyway. Today, the Youth painted our classroom, a lovely beige-cream-off white-tan color that looks much better than the hideous green it used to be painted. We did an excellent job, I think. And Kirsten thinks. And Meredith. And Andrew. And Kyle. And Nathan. And Enrique. And also Bryan. Yeah. Amazing.

More disection

Ugh. So like today, I dissected a crayfish, and I was paired with Kirsten, and the crayfish we got was kinda squished. SHE had a big dent on her carapace (body-looking part) and her insides were all jumbled up. We ripped her legs off to make it easier to pin her down to open her up. Not much learning happened as a result of her mashed guts, though. So, it didn't go that well for us. Or the crayfish. We named her Kelly. Rest in pieces, Kelly.

We're back!

I made it back from LA and escaped with only a slight sunburn. Didn't actually get to go into Disney land (awwwww) but I had a good time with my friends at California Disney. The only pictures I took were on a phone because my camera is inconveniently well, inconvinient. I can't email the pictures I took to myself right now, so enjoy a few a friend took and sent to me.

Basically amazing. He messed up a little on the 'K' in Kyle, but it's amazing.

Funny story. Out at lunch after the competition, Kyle and Lydia kept dropping things on the floor and Lydia kept saying things like "No, no it was Kyle!" or "Kyle did it!" or "Aw man! Kyle!". Then a fork fell to the floor, supposedly knocked off Kyle's plate by gravity alone. Lydia took a picture for evidence. I don't know why she sent it to me, but it was funnier at the time. Way funnier.

Big guess what. Guess what? My Instructor, Mr. Som, made a last minute decision to take our school to Disney Land for a huge martial arts competition! Yaaaaaay!! I'm leaving on friday and coming back on monday. One unfortunate thing is that we aren't competing because my Instructor just decided to go and we aren't prepared to compete. We'll just be spectators... Oh well... at least I'm going! Yay!

Hey. This is a special post just for mrs. Prabhu beacause she asked for one this week. I'll try to do some more later this week, too.
So like, yesterday was my first day of my new job, which is mowing the lawn behind the church. It's not hard, just a little messy and time consuming, but it pays pretty well (yay). Also, just today, I got a second "job". I am now the illustrator of a book by Mr. Emery about animals made by God! He's gonna try to sell it and everything. Pretty cool.
Anyways, other than jobs, my right pinky finger is swollen slightly from martial arts yesterday, my good pants have grass stains on them and I had sloppy joes for lunch.
