Disection

Oh. my. gosh. Today, I disected a worm. Nothing big but a little wierd. And (this is just great), since Kyle's sick, I took a worm home for him and I get to disect one all over again.........

We're back!

I made it back from LA and escaped with only a slight sunburn. Didn't actually get to go into Disney land (awwwww) but I had a good time with my friends at California Disney. The only pictures I took were on a phone because my camera is inconveniently well, inconvinient. I can't email the pictures I took to myself right now, so enjoy a few a friend took and sent to me.

Check it out. It's us and the guys from Fight Quest! You know, the show on Discovery Channel? Shelby can't get over Jimmy leaning on her head (she thinks he's a stud, lol).

We got Doug's aurograph.

Basically amazing. He messed up a little on the 'K' in Kyle, but it's amazing.

Funny story. Out at lunch after the competition, Kyle and Lydia kept dropping things on the floor and Lydia kept saying things like "No, no it was Kyle!" or "Kyle did it!" or "Aw man! Kyle!". Then a fork fell to the floor, supposedly knocked off Kyle's plate by gravity alone. Lydia took a picture for evidence. I don't know why she sent it to me, but it was funnier at the time. Way funnier.

Anyways, I'll probably post more later, but these might be the only pictures you see.

I'm just waiting around for my assistant instructor to come and pick me and Shelby up to take us to DISNEY LAND! My head instructor's wife is already driving Kyle there. It should be in the next half-hour, so this is my last post for a while. Try not to miss me too much.

Disney Martial Arts

Big guess what. Guess what? My Instructor, Mr. Som, made a last minute decision to take our school to Disney Land for a huge martial arts competition! Yaaaaaay!! I'm leaving on friday and coming back on monday. One unfortunate thing is that we aren't competing because my Instructor just decided to go and we aren't prepared to compete. We'll just be spectators... Oh well... at least I'm going! Yay!

On this day, in 1703, Forty-six of the Forty-seven Ronin, led by Oishi Yoshio, commited seppuku in Edo after avenging the death of their master, Daimyo of Ako Asano Naganori. The Forty-seventh Ronin lived and was pardoned by the Shogun (presumably because of his young age). If you don't know this story, look it up. Seriously.
